As you can see these flowers are different, but isn’t it amazing how well they all blend together. Why can’t we do the same? There is only one race….the HUMAN race.
I’m heart broken over what’s been going on in the news and I agree that change in our justice system is needed. But sometimes change starts in your own back yard….
I was coming home from my morning walk today and I saw a black young man being asked to leave my apartment complex (click the word “today” to see the video). He’s homeless and was caught sleeping under some stairs here. The police were called and when they arrived I stayed because I just wanted to make sure the young man was okay. In the video, you’ll see that the cops really did attempt to assist the young man…Not all cops are bad.
Prayers for peace and strength in this hour for those who mourn lost loved ones. And to those who are angry, it’s okay to be angry. I was angry too at first, but don’t let the anger over take you. Let’s find a way to bring about change with a level head and heart.
