Have you ever heard the saying that “Comparison is the thief of all joy” stated by Theodore Roosevelt? It simply means that when we compare ourselves to others it can rob us of our joy. When we get down on ourselves for not operating at a level that someone else is it can make us feel inadequate. Could it be that the people you are comparing yourself to just put the hard work in? Could it be that the very thing you are comparing yourself about you too could have? What if you studied more… What if you read more… What if you created a schedule and structured your day… What if you changed your eating habits… What changes could you make to get to the best version of YOU?
There is no doubt in my mind that you can achieve all of your goals and dreams but you have to put the work in. Look to others only so you can grow but be careful of looking to others just to compare yourself only to tear yourself down because you aren’t where they are or because you don’t have what they have. You may not be where you want to be but you have time to get there as long as you wake up. Today is a great day to hit the reset button and create the life you want! I hope you have a great Friday and a great weekend!
